It’s Snowing Crime

It is almost morning as Frank arrives the first at a scene of a crime, yet another dead body on the line. His gun clings coldly to his hand and he strolls cautiously forward; a killer could be still lurking in the shadows. As if materialising out of nowhere, fresh snow catches the stern gaze of his eyes, pale flakes piercing the pitch black night — much like the questions that always lurk his tired mind. Grave danger or not, he looks at the sky and stops. Everything seems clear for a miniscule moment, and the strange feeling eases his mind.

“Perhaps it is snowing crime.”

A neo-noir styled painting of Frank Morses during his times when he was a detective in the force. I originally intended it as an entry in a small contest, but the true life of this piece is on the internet. The software of choice for making it was Krita.
